  • Rainbow Academy, South Africa

    At the Rainbow Academy, Myah taught a series of devising classes to 18-25 year old students. The students were from Cape Town’s townships and most vulnerable communities making ethical teaching practices crucial to the work. From this, she also produced a paper entitled, (R)evolutionary Theatre: Four Foundations for Community Change, that she presented at the Mid American Theatre Conference.

  • Actin' Up! Bermuda

    Myah Bridgewater is the founder & director of Actin’ Up! Bermuda, a summer theatre intensive located in her home country. Unlike any other program on the island, Actin’ Up! exposes Bermuda’s youth (9-16 year olds) to acting, singing and dance with a focus on professionalism. Myah that theatre is a critical tool to help youth develop confidence and creativity.

  • Prison Creative Arts Project

    For the past 3 years, Myah has been facilitating theatre workshops at a women’s prison in Michigan. She was also one of the pioneers of taking University of Michigan theatre & Drama performances into prisons.
